More than seven years of research went into the Meditron AS sound-sensing technology, which picks up body sounds without sending a signal or energy into the body. This allows for unmatched purity of sound -- the practitioner hears more, and more accurately.

Thanks to the optional sounds distributor, the physician can allow students or colleagues to hear the patient's body sounds at the time the exam is performed. Each practitioner can review the patient's condition on the spot, creating a powerful teaching tool for auscultation.

The system's optional advanced PC-based software captures sounds as Microsoft® wav files. These files can be stored, called up at a later date, and even e-mailed. The sound files can also be viewed as charts and graphs, allowing the practitioner to visually compare the patient's condition and progress over time.
