The Phonak Interface Backpack is an interface piece that attaches to the bottom of the transmitter unit. It is where you plug the charger into. It is also used for an audio cable or for a microphone. You cannot charge the transmitter without the interface piece. It is only compatible with the Easylink+, Smartlink+ and Zoomlink+.
